English Theatre Company IMAGO brings its touring production of
METAMORPHOSIS to the 24th Street Theatre for performances on Tuesday, Aug.
17
and Wednesday, Aug. 18.

Performances are at 7:30 pm. on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a 3:00 p.m.
matinee on Wednesday. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by calling
(323) 655-8587.

METAMORPHOSIS is Steven Berkoff's adaptation of a short story by Franz
Kafka.
In the story, the son, the mainstay of the household, is transformed into a
beetle and gradually becomes aware of the loathing of the family. Steven
Berkoff's handling of this bizarre story is extremely powerful
and results in a piece of physical theatre that relies heavily on mime,
movement, music and rhythm.

The 24th Street Theatre is located at the corner of Hoover and 24th Street
in North University Park near USC, the Shrine Auditorium and the County
Museums. For information and directions, call (213) 745-6516.
