To those considering continuing shows this weekend, I know our audience was
extremely grateful to have a moment of time that reaffirmed life, and the
act of being alive that we created together for one hour of theatre. Our
show was very humorous, which concerned us as there was nothing funny about
what was happening. People were glad at the opportunity to have something
to laugh about in the midst of tragedy. And it wasn't escapism- it all felt
very real, we were cognizant of the world, and made a place to rejoice in
what we all were making together, audience and performers. I agree that
each person will have their own process in responding, but if it is in you
to share your gifts, then I say offer them. There are others who are
willing to accept.
