Most definitely! I think people need to do what they need to do. Just
because some choose to cancel shows this weekend, that doesn't mean they've
been quailed by the SILENCE...and, thus, being less than what the ideal way
is to respond, react, behave when such a tragic event has occurred in our
lives. We all heal differently. There is a time that is right for everyone
to experience theatre as an artist or audience member. For some, it is this
weekend. For others, next. Please don't judge those who have chosen this
weekend to write, to visit family and friends, to do volunteer work, to watch
tv 24 hours a day, to sit holed up in their apt. with the lights turned off
and the drapes shut or whatever. For some artists, this is what they need to
do to heal. Don't judge them.
