RAT Re:Rat,The dramaturgy of...
hey rats,
there were some theatres in europe last century with
no audiences
involved
at all.all their time.
for me this means a kind of theater with the human
quallity of fun or
pain,
with ritualistic or just friendly communion attitude
then performative.
and it seems so fascinating in this World of
Commodity.
it's really boring when you see anti-theater on
sale,living theater on
sale,
sterile educative academia of comedia del arte through
the capitalist
communism and beaurocracy of funds,committes,links
and
endless deadly workshops with fake smiles and
enlitenments...who needs
this
autopsy?what kind of audience could be your spectator
when you try to
get
admiration of the masses using others' blood and their
life
sacrifices...when you sell everything - fluxus then
off and off-off and
fringe and rat,you are an expert, very experienced
director of modern or
[postmodern theater and you know how to make things
fit in a way you
could
fuck the hard dramaturgy of old theatre and by the way
fuck those
naive
people who do something for free, for your freedom and
profit..
woods are always great for me and rm 120 theatre too.
and i agree,robert,there should
be
an audience once you got a theater, but that audience
ought to be one of
the
comedia del arte's at least,an anti-audience so to
speak. yes,theatre
is a
joint experience.including audience. you do theatre so
you can do
(find)your
audience, but sometimes you failed or something works
wrong way..
van gogh couldn't stay isolated,no book or painting is
possible without
spectator/reader(at least in future),but theater can
do it..as every
actor
is a spectator too. here still exists an
interaction,communication.
but when everything becomes university and market you
can say fuck
them,you
really must say this. it's not personal, especially in
our time.
