I seem to recollect that the title of the play involving William F. Buckley 
was "The Spy Threw HIs Voice."

I adored "Sam Shepard" too, but it was not their first play in Chicago.  
Prior to that, they had done "Three Who Dared" and "The Pope is Not a Eunuch."
