hThis brings up a more general question about Angeleno perceptions of Seattlites.

Do they still think we all go around in baggies and plaid shirts around here? Some version of "the Seattle look", has been around for a long time.  

I remember the first scene in THE PARALLAX VIEW with Warren Beatty, one of my favorite films and a must for any conspiracy junkie. See, Seattle was apparently a minor logging town in the 70's,.  I think we still ordered our brides through the mail at that time.
And we still had a Whig in the White House, as I recall.  Ah, those were the days.
