Lee, Once again I must thank you for springing to my defense- but I think
you're off base....
First of all, dennis doesn't captialize his name, why should he capitalize
mine?
Sceondly,I choose not to caopitalize my name, and that practice extends to
my theatre resume.
Thirdly, Theatre Double is A proper noun, and , due to the fact that it is
not my my name, I bow, reluctantly , to societal convention and
capitalize it. I also capitalized Reading Series Press Release and
Girl's Guide Press Release. I f you want to analyzer this, i hope you will
come to the conclusion that I feel the work is more important than my own
ego, and that is the reason for mycapitalization discrepancy.
Fourthly, you seem to equate capitalization with value, or inportancer or
something. Is e.e. cummings not an important writer? What about archy and
mehitabel? Or most of M. Faulkner's Intruder in the Dust-- did its lack of
capitalization and punctuation reduce its importance as a work??
I thank you for your concern about my treatment at Theatre Double( proper
noun alert) -- it means a lot to know you care. But, I talk with dennis
(his preferred spelling, and mine) almost every day, and I have to tell
you--- this dog doesn't hunt.
Not sweating the small stuff,
brad
