Re: RAT Reading Series --What, Brecht thinks? re Trey Nichols

Let's define our (my) terms: Random, eternal "readings" of a work, as
opposed to a dedicated "reading" for a theatre producer, artistic director or
actor-driven company looking to produce.

I'm always joyous to be invited, or come into the opportunity, to read for a
particular theatre. The reading, for me, at Moving Arts, was adroitly
handled, well cast, and handled by Trey, who had entirely the right take on
my play from the get-go.

I don't consider that a "reading." It's more in the nature of an "Audition"
for a particular theatre. There's a big difference, in my head at least.

For that kind of "audition" of a play, playwrights ought to always make time.

Sincerely

A grateful Michael Farkash
