Re: RAT Re: obscurity
In a message dated 99-02-23 20:55:15 EST, you write:
<< The person is not the play. >>
<<There is no wrong in the theatre. This is not merely semantical. If there's
a wrong, it must be assumed that there is a right. There isn't. There are
<different> choices only>>
<<I'm a radical, grizzled, grumpy theatrician who has lived his entire life in
the theatre and plans to stay there no matter what anybody else does or
doesn't do.>>
<<I looked into the possiblity of somehow suing the entire educational system
as they were making my job far more difficult than necessary by cranking out
what I viewed to be cookie-cutter actors at best.<<
Johnathan Harris...
I think I love you. You have expressed so many wonderful thoughts tonight
that I kept starting to write in my head, and then didn't have to. So I could
merely cathart (theatrical cavorting) about in your verbiage. (Uhm...I
especially liked it when you said my grad thoughts were "eloquant and
balanced." But that doesn't mean I'm biased towards you at
all...uhm...well...o.k. maybe a little biased tonight. But I had that rough
"first night running the whole damn thing...and did we actually decide to do
THAT...well let's change it!" night of rehearsal. Noone was calling me
eloquant OR balanced tonight!) Suffice to say, you have brought me joy.
Thank you.
