i agree with morgan et al: 
make art, 
make it now, make it fiercely.  
don't script, don't think, don't make posters, 
don't sell tickets, 
just get it out there somewhere, somehow, 
and make art 
and say with it: 
i won't be deterred from my mission
to seduce this planet with my peaceful
art,
to get it to bend its knees
and sit in the third row
and watch the show,
and debate itself afterwards over
coffee, or cocktails that are
not the color of blood.  

this is not to say: party.
or forget. 
this is not to say: fast food mentality, and
tra-la-la.  this is to say: if meditation is your art,

then make it, meditate like hell
and come out the other side, 
but let us all somehow make art because 
much of the world around us is ready to make war, 
and, can we face it already, 
has been making war steadily 
for the last hundred years and more,
and so, hey, what's another?

e.e. cummings said it best through his olaf, 
proud and true: "there is some shit i will not eat,"
and i think we know he meant
the shit of hatred.

do i want them hit back?  yes.
yes, by god. 
can i do it?
no, i cannot.
  
but i can make art,
and invite other people in,
and make a church or a town hall of it,
and find a center for my soul,
and i can bleed in my heart and guts
for those lost so senselessly,
and for those misled so hideously
to do this,
and in community make meditation as well,
or alone,
and start now the long, long mourning process
that only 
time
and art
can ease,
but never heal.

i know today i am wounded forever,
and you, too;
let us tend to our wounds
as we must,
together.
