Sounds a bit like special pleading to me. 

My objection is NOT that "problematize" isn't
currently in the lexicon.  My objection is that it's
an awkward, ugly, unneccesary addition to it; and that
the context of its use was probably quite similar to
Bush's malapropism's: overcompensation for
intellectual insecurity.  ("I'll just add a couple
more of them syllaberries, and I'll sound all smart
and stuff.")

God forbid I should hold a RAT to any aesthetic
standard of clarity... or should I say
non-obfuscation?
