RAT Rental spaces vs. production-by-theatre producer/company

Rental spaces tend to attract vanity, poor-quality productions, as well as 
the occasional gem.

Whereas, companies tend to want to do pieces that speak to people, and 
enhance their reputation.

Every play I've done has had the backing of other people, not just my own 
assumption that it's worthy of mounting.   Which of course is no guarantee of 
taste, but at least it's a consensus of more than one playwright with 
disposable income who mounts a show, good or vile.
