TUESDAY 5/1 8 PM  AMERICAN TELEVISION COMEDY (1945)     FREE ADMISSION!
   We'll view classic episodes of some of America's Television Comedy
Greats.  Includes pieces from Ernie Kovacs, Red Skelton, Lucille Ball, and
Jackie Gleason.  Join us as we re-visit some of the wonder of the Golden Age
of Television.

FRIDAY 5/4 9 PM ACME PUPPET SLAM   tickets just $5
    Alternative puppetry from some of the region's finest puppeteers.
Sometimes new, sometimes experimental, always interesting.  Artists include
Beale Street Puppets (from Baltimore), Circus Millenia from Virginia,
Chinaberry Puppets from New Jersey, Perc Puppets from Washington, DC, and
artists Andrea Caspari (from Maryland) and Kendra Ware (from Washington DC)

FRIDAY 5/5 6 PM    SECRET CIRCUS  ADMISSION JUST $5!
SATURDAY 5/6 6 PM

    The Secret Circus is a circus musical written by local theatre maven
Chris Cherry.  It features 24 children who have been taking classes with
Chris during Acme Clown Month, and 15 songs written by Mr. Cherry himself.

SATURDAY 5/5 8:30 PM ACME CIRCUS OF WONDERS CABARET & BENEFIT  $15
    Join us for a special benefit for the Laughter Arts Foundation and
MotionFest, a national festival for clowns and movement artists.  This show
is jam-packed with some of the nation's finest variety entertainers
performing magic, juggling, music, and clowning.  The tickets are $15, but
the laughter and entertainment you get from it are worth much more!

SUNDAY 5/6 12-5 PM  ACME STREET FESTIVAL ~~ FREE ADMISSION!
    A Festival of Street Theatre and Performance on Roosevelt Center as part
of Greenbelt's Artful Afternoon.  It includes a parade (starting at the Arts
Center at 12:30 pm) and then street performances around downtown Greenbelt
and the Roosevelt Center.  There will also be a performance by the Teen
Street Theatre Class.
