WHAT'S ON THIS WEEK!

WEDNESDAY APRIL 11, 8 PM FREE CLOWN DISCUSSION-- THE CLOWN IN SOCIETY
Discussion of Political buffoons, holy fools, and the Trickster.
We'll talk about the concept of the clown and how he relates to  society at
large. Is the clown just an entertainer, or does he serve a higher purpose?
We'll also touch on the image of the Evil clown in literature and fact.FREE!

FRIDAY, APRIL 13, 8 & 12 am BINDLESTIFF FAMILY CIRKUS -ONLY AREA APPEARANCE!
"This New York City Cirkus has a message, and the cirkus is their medium." A
radical troupe that specializes in a mixture of sideshow, circus, and
burlesque with acts that range from the exotic to the erotic. They'll
perform two shows in Greenbelt-- the first is an all ages show which is
appropriate for anyone and everyone. The second show is an ADULT ONLY show.
No one under the age of 18 will be admitted, and identifications will be
checked at the door.  Tickets are $10/$8

SATURDAY, APRIL 14, 2 & 8 PM  BUFFOON ANONYMOUS-- LAST CHANCE!  MUST CLOSE!
A 12 step play for clowns.  A solo clown show by the Clown Laureate of
Greenbelt,  Adam G. Gertsacov.  This show features classic clown routines,
chilling monologues, a stunning circus ring, a puppet circus, mediocre
juggling, and the ACME Declownifier!
Tickets are $10/$8

TUESDAY, APRIL 17 8 PM         FREE FILM: MONTY PYTHON FEST
Donıt stay home and watch TV--join us at the Greenbelt Arts Center this week
and every Tuesday during Acme Clown Month for free films on a much bigger
screen than youıve got in your living room! A collaboration with Friends of
the Greenbelt Theater. FREE!

FRIDAY, APRIL 20 8 PM          ACME MINIATURE CIRCUS
SATURDAY, APRIL 21, 8 PM       (ITıS A FLEA CIRCUS!)
SUNDAY APRIL 22, 2 & 7 PM

An authentic Victorian style flea circus, featuring Midge and Madge, trained
fleas who "... Perform Spectacular Circus Stunts As Seen Before (and on top
of) The Crowned Heads of Europe." Picked as the Number One sure bet of the
Montreal Fringe Festival, and described by DETAILS Magazine as one of the
top ten alternative circuses in the country. Don't scratch this show off
your list! Tickets are $10/$8
