Personally I think a great deal about this issue, and
have decided that I, personally, after all DO believe
in masterpieces, although I am not yet sure what
quelifies as one, there is a sense of completeness,
purity and universality that I believe exists. I find
this opposition towards whats 'good for you' a
childish form of rebellion, fine, eat your candy all
you want, but, I hope noone finds this insulting or
anything, sticking your tongue out at a masterpiece
just because it doesn't fit your mood at the moment
doesn't mean you want find yourself returning to
appreaciate it in the end.
