the audience must be given something to do rather than simply 
observers/listeners; they need to be actively included INTO the play. I don't 
care how brilliantly talented you are, 
an audience will stop listening and will retreat if given nothing to do. TO 
DO. They are part of, not an addition to, the performance. 

anyone who ever lived or is alive on this planet is ALWAYS a part of the 
audience, at every performance - too bad most actors forget this.
the audience is not much different from the performers really, they just 
don't get their own light.
