RAT Just to let people know what's going on



Hi - this is Morgan Jenness.  Thought people in the RAT network might be 
interested in something a group of performing artists (of all kinds) are 
trying to start up in New York - a bi-weekly political cabaret (somewhat 
based on the old TV show THAT WAS THE WEEK THAT WAS).  We will probably want 
to start looking for submissions of material from outside New York as well so 
anyone who is interested should let me know.

On January 20, 2001, George W. "Dubya" "Dauphin" "Shrub" "The Village Idiot" 
Bush is going to be inaugurated as the 43rd President of the United States of 
America.

Celebrate the travesty this coming Monday drinking beer in a dive bar with 
Dick Cheney, John Ashcroft, and the Three West Texan Seamstresses--currently 
sewing 3,000 rhinestones onto a red chenille ballgown--as we kick off our 
Inaugural Episode of Living Newspaper Theater!!

WHAT?  Political Cabaret Theater

WHERE?  Bar 169 on the Lower East Side
            (Bar 169 is on 169 East Broadway, right at the East Broadway F 
Stop.)
  
WHEN?  Monday, January 15th @ 7:30pm

WHY?  Because you will laugh, cry, learn stuff, (and find out all sorts of 
information about how to protest the weekend of the inauguration.)

WHO?  Currently nameless as a group.  See below for participating
individuals 

HOW (much)?    F R E E!
