RAT Looking for an Edgefest Show tonight...?



Then come on down to the Los Angeles Theatre Center!

We've got three hot shows tonight (Thursday November 16) and two of them
are having their OPENING NIGHTS:

2000 MOVING ARTS PREMIERE ONE-ACT FESTIVAL
presented by Moving Arts
Thursday November 16 @ 8pm
(also:  Friday Nov. 17 @ 8pm and Sunday Nov. 19 @ 2pm)
This weekend Moving Arts presents Evening Blue, a slate of four new plays:
Pickup Lines by
Rob Miller; New Shoes  by Sheila Callaghan; A Good Smoke by Don Cummings;
and Monsieur Felix Fox Fly by John Arnold.
(Moving Arts' Premiere One-Act Festival is made up of two programs of four
plays each, Evening Red and Evening Blue, presented on alternate weekends
through December 3).

THE LEGACY PROJECT*
a new solo show written and performed by Nicole Angileri.  Directed by Kosh.

THE LEGACY PROJECT receives its world premiere in the 2000 Edgefest.  The
piece is a wild interactive adventure into one woman's power to make a
difference.

PAPA'S BRAND NEW BAG*
by Peter J. Harris.  Directed by Tamara Sibley.
presented by INAB/Black Artists Alliance Productions

(also playing Friday Nov. 17 @ 8pm and Saturday Nov. 18 @10:30pm
In Peter J. Harris' powerful drama, an African-American father struggles
with his guilt, anger, and violent emotions to weather the crisis of
divorce and find his voice of courage and humanity.  BILLY MAYO plays the
father who fights emotional paralysis, is tempted by name-calling and
vindictiveness as he searches his soul and his culture to find his falsetto
voice of strength, kindness and spiritual renewal.

The Los Angeles Theatre Center is located at 514 South Spring Street in
downtown Los Angeles.  There's a green gated parking lot at 6th and Main,
