I too did a show at Horace Mann in 1987 I think (fall) called Aunt Melodious.
The play's setting was 'a southern Californian graveyard built near the 
Pacific beach front.' The set designer had cow skulls and sand that had 
earlier been used in several funeral rituals of some sort...strange...there 
were definitely cold spots on that stage, several actors and crew felt others 
on that set that chose to remain invisible.
THAT's what I remember about Columbia University's spooky stage.
