Thoughts on Rat in 2001 (Love's Old Sweet Song):

     First Goal: future's in internationalism/border 
crossings. More than an association of independent 
theaters we need a network of mutually dependent 
theaters. The post avant-garde is defined by ethics, so 
our network's interdependence will be defined by 
hospitality vs. conventional productions/productions 
spaces. Recommendation (return to base) - chose a small 
group of artists with whom you can commit to work over a 
two year period; the artists are geographically diverse. 
Resolve to meet at a variety of houses at least three 
times a year; no production outcome - share food and 
shelter. These houses will slowly establish as our 
hostel-system, and the rat rep will be made of homes not 
stages. Work will come out of this, work premised in 
material mercy. Maybe we won't meet again as a large 
group until -

     Second goal: the Argentina conference moves to 
summer 2002 to allow more time to scam air fare, etc. 
Plus Barba is bringing ISTA to Brazil - option for some 
synchronicity.
