Re: RAT Which Idea Now?

Great question, Jack. I'll bite.

1. Does it speak to me?
2. Does it address our lives (or something that sucks about our lives) in the
world RIGHT NOW?
3. Can it be communicated in a way that is engaging to more than just me?
and the supplemental 4. Do my partners think it is something worth starting
on today?

Informal as it is, it is a start.
Thanks,
Ralph

 Dear Rats-

So how about some informal input from the list?

So here you, the artist, are at one of those points that comes up
every so often when you wonder NOW WHAT DO I DO NEXT? you know you want to
create something and there are many options before you, books you have read
that might be adaptable, that idea you had last summer, the conversations you
overheard on the the bus, and so on. But which might you do next?

My question is this what sort of critera do you apply to these options to
come up with what you do next. What is worth your time, attention, and
resources? Let's face it, our days are numbered and we choose according to
some lights but what are they?

Perhaps to begin this conversation you might post what three things the
project must have for you to devote time to it.
