Re: RAT "Politics antithetical to BCT" Readers please delete!

To me shrub is only slightly more onerous than Gore.  A conservative democrat can in many ways do more harm than a republican, because liberals won't take on one of their own.  Evidence Don't Ask Don't Tell, Welfare "reform" (which we will be reaping the consequences of during the next President's reign as families start getting kick off the rolls when their five years are up), etc.  There will ALWAYS be a Republican that we think is the next great AntiChrist.  Is there a Republican out there that's going to get the nomination that you wouldn't be opposed to?  Probably not.  So by that logic, there will NEVER be the time to build a 3rd party.

If you don't want to "throw away" your vote--then why not devote some time to getting current non-voters to turn out for Nader--people who wouldn't get off their barcoloungers to vote for Gore in the first place and who stopped voting when the Democrats decided they could win by becoming Republicans.  Then you have the best of both worlds.

And then, in the year 2,000 :

Yes, when throwing it away empowers such profound disregard for global human
rights - evil now spelled Bush.  First tend to the most threatening issue,
then tend to reshaping.
