RAT RE: Money, Work, how

RE: Money and creating.
Very hard when you are not Virginia Woolf, with a 'private income.'
I just saw a great actor on stage yesterday, but I knew that he came from BIG
Texas oil money, so I don't think he's ever had to 'dayjob' it in his life.
Hence, more energy and focus for the craft and business of theatre.
I got sticky jealous of his situation, but at the same time, realized that it
was his strength of purpose and love of acting that got him where he's gone,
which is great plays and great projects with great directors and actors all
around the country.

WHEN I FORGET I AM WATCHING A PLAY

The one discovery I have made is this - that human beings cannot create
alone. The charging up and exchange of energy in the act of creation comes
from another level of consciousness or parallel universe, and Money is
attached to EGO and is not connected to the more subtle and evolved spaces
that an actor/artist comes through in their striving. I am not sure if money
makes life easier. I am not sure if it helps me direct myself in the correct
ethical spirit>art.
All I know is that when I am acting from this place, I am LED, I am not
LEADING. The work is telling me what it needs to do, the playwright's words
are leading.
