Re: RAT Fwd: ZNet Update / Arrestees in Philly, Action Urgently Needed

since we've created a forum for putting in 2 cents,
I'll add mine. I don't care if my vote for Nader helps
Bush win. I think that in the long term, a Bush
presidency, and the antipathy that it is bound to
excite, is MORE productive for the issues I am
concerned about, than a Gore presidency that would
allow professed anti-establishment types to relax
because at least it's a "democrat" running things.
Maybe Bush will stack the supreme court with
death-penalty-thrilled wackos -- all the more chance
that the anti-death penalty movement, newly on the
rise, will gather more recruits.

Moreover, relating to both killing Buchanan and the
quote below, it is outbursts of hate that allow the
political mainstream to demonize those of us on the
'fringe.' If we are willing to vote for Gore instead
of Nader, shouldn't we be willing to accept the terms
of political discourse (terms on which we can win)
rather than let ourselves be accurately branded wackos
by our enemies?
