helloooooo out there in the cauldron.  (email junkies crave the light
outside but are a little bit afraid ....) sending on word of happenings/
performances to keep the flow through the dog days

1. DELI DANCES! 135 west 42nd street. (details below) two weeks (aug 3 to
18) of FREE  dance performances at a new theater space on 42nd
street (former home of hermann's sporting goods!), including day
performances starting at 12:30 for those working in the great electric
light disaster contraption skyway called midtown. pot porri of dance,
"window displays," random acts of audience, etc. many past & present r.c.
collaborators involved. Night shows start at 8:00. full schedule @

agent mT/ geoff k & sean clute debut "Scenes from the uP poem" wednesday
aug 8 at12:30 and thursday aug 9 @ 8:00. a strange little bird we are
working on...a simple dissonant study of unlearning, forgetting what you
are doing even while you rise & struggle to shed old skins. 

2. WITH THINGS ATTACHED choreographed by bianca falco & elise knudson at
the
dumbo arts center (aug 11, 12, 17, 18, 19 @ 8 PM).  highly recomment
checking this piece out from two very inventive choreographers working
with four other dancers. A girl disappears into another galaxy and "like
everywhere else, there is a light and dark side"-dances for mutants,
siammese twins, territorial battles, mermaids & quarks. call 212-539-3597

to make reservations.  performers include biana, elise, patti gilstrap,
rachel ihara, maia ramnath, spela sterle, irene sturla, andros zins-brown
with music by carey harmon & alberto falco. 
dumbo arts center: 30 washington st, brooklyn
F train to york, exiting station make right onto jay then left onto york
past superfine restaurant then right onto washington.

3. the fringe festival is about to hit downtown. The Ransom Corp. will be
hosting VIS PLASTICA, a fantastic & surreal street movement theater troupe
from Vienna, Austria, who will be performing in the courtyard at Charas/
El Bohio on east 9th (between B & C) and around the streets of NYC in
mid-aug. Updates next week. 

4. if you haven't been out there yet.... PS1 in long island city on
saturdays is hosting afternoon dj/electro etc. sessions from 3 to 9 pm. if
you don't know the way, give 'em a call or check the Voice listings
etc....

5. abandon the path of newspapers
