Greetings,
Our puppetshow, Goat with a Vote, returned safely from the demonstration 
against the big business sponsored Republican National Convention.  Some of 
our puppeteer friends were not so lucky.  After a police raid on the puppet 
warehouse on 41st and Havorford, police arrested 75 puppet makers and 
demolished over 500 puppets, banners, and signs, destroying all evidence that 
there was peaceful, artistic activity in the space.  Many arrested were not 
given charges and some still remain in jail.  There have been reports of 
police abuse inside the jail, police dragging prisoners through broken glass, 
prisoners being "hogtied" and having their circulation cut off for 25 
minutes, prisoners being thrown against bars.  These are political prisoners, 
some of whom were not even planning to participate in civil disobedience, but 
remain in solidarity with other demonstrators.  I encourage you to voice your 
concern to these public figures.
