Friends-

	I have some friends who are SAG actors, and I certainly support the
strike and even the blunt tactic of naming those who have chosen to be
strike-breakers.  A strike is a contest of sheer power, and opponents of
the union have never been genteel about their own tactics.

	But frankly, the tactic of disseminating this post, portraying this
woman as a degenerate because she's worked in the sex industry, nauseates
me.  I have a number of friends who are or have been sex workers (strippers
and whores, to be precise), and, in my opinion, their character and ethics
are considerably higher than "legitimate" actors who make a living
extolling the virtues of cigarettes, shitburgers, and global capitalism in
its many cheerful guises.

	Should we perhaps debate the virtue of those who make money using
their finely-honed theatrical skills to tell flat lies?
