I'm in Providence, and here the theatres have a united audition process, but
after that it's anyone's guess.

I want to point out that your example is about four DIFFERENT kinds of
activities cross-collaborating.

Perhaps, you, an art gallery, a modern dance company, and a cool rock'n'roll
venue could cross-pollinate TOGETHER.   In this way, you are getting people
who might not NOW be going to the theatre, but are going somewhere else, and
might be willing to add another level to their viewing pleasure.
