RAT mea culpa

I still hate Bush, but I should own up to diseminating misinformation.  I cut 
and pasted a cyberlist of Bush's "record" in Texas a month or so ago.  Well, 
I heard a story in NPR the other day that contradicts at least one of the 
"stats" on that list I sent.

The list said TX was rated 50 in teacher salaries.  NPR said TX was rated 
38th and Bush wanted to give them a $1000 raise.  The bill he signed ended up 
giving them a $3000 increase.  He was right to sign it.  I was wrong to 
forward "info" whose source I didn't know.  

I still think Ann Richards was a better governor.  I still think Bush is 
coasting in a boom economy.  I think he'd make a horrible president.  Were I 
a Republican, I'd vote for McCain.

It's funny, you know, I never sign online petitions.  I never forward 
"warnings" "you could win $1000 from Bill Gates," but because I dislike Bush, 
I was glad to forward info that helped "prove" he was worth my dislike.  My 
lesson is to know where my "facts" are coming from.
