There is a program here in L.A. called "Movement Works" being run by an
artist named Kim G. The youth involved are probably categorically past
"risk," as the program's instituted at the central juvenile facility
downtown. Theater games, rehearsal, performance, journal writing, some heavy
shit w/in the structure of 45 mins. of voluntary "class" time during juvie
"school" one day a week.

I was last in contact w/Kim G. in '97, but have reason to believe the
program still exists. Good luck to your friend.
