SCHEDULING
Shows will be scheduled into one venue and rotated with others over the
length of the Festival. Performances will occur between 6 p.m. and
midnight weekdays, and between noon and midnight weekends. Do not double
cast with another Fringe show as we are unable to accommodate the specific
scheduling demands this presents. Running time must be 60 minutes or less.
Please take all potential scheduling conflicts into account before applying.
TECHNICAL/ PRODUCTION
Keep technical and production values SIMPLE! All Festival performances
start on time. In the 30 minutes between shows, one group will have 15
minutes to strike, the other 15 minutes to set-up, and the audience will be
seated concurrently. The venues are equipped with very basic lights and
sound and only one 2 hour cue-to-cue technical rehearsal is scheduled for
each group. (Technical spec’s provided by the Festival will be
communicated once the schedule is completed.) THE VENUES PROVIDE NO
STORAGE. Sets, props and costumes must be removed after each performance.
The Festival provides one technician in each venue to run lights and
sound. You must provide one Production or Stage Manager and enough crew to
set up and strike your show.
REMEMBER: KEEP IT SIMPLE!
TICKET/ REVENUE POLICY
You set the ticket price to your show, to a maximum of $8 and you will
receive 100% of the box office revenue. PLEASE NOTE that the Fringe will
make Frequent Fringer Passes available at a price of $50 per pass ($5 per
show). There will only be 100 Frequent Fringer Passes available (for a
total of 1000 discounted tickets). You will receive $5 for any audience
member using a Frequent Fringer Pass to see your show.
PUBLICITY
IF YOU HAVE ANY PHOTOS OR COLOR SLIDES NOW, PLEASE SUBMIT WITH YOUR
APPLICATION. You provide show specific publicity. The SF Fringe Festival
provides festival associated publicity. Groups are asked to submit
publicity photos and PR materials and the Festival coordinates all press
releases, publicity events, special mailings and the program guide. We
also arrange all media interviews and on-site visits by media
representatives, including reviews by critics who have chosen to attend
your show. You are encouraged to publicize your show through mailers,
handbills, and/or posters. The more you promote your own show, the better
your audiences will be.
