I have to say that there are different types of Wellman plays. Working on
"Terminal Hip" was not the same nor did it demand the same process as "7
Blowjobs" or "The Lesser Magoo"(which had music and songs thrown in) I'd say
Wellman plays are each thier own theatrical landscapeand seem to work best
when the individual actors, designers and directors, throw themselves into
the world of the language and come up with the moments, large and small.It's
kinda like sam shephard was in the 70's. I discovered if I was having fun I
was doing something that worked.
