RAT Wellman in Love



Jillian's comment ("I don't know what the hell he said, but I know
exactly what he means") makes sense to me. Like Shakespeare. It's intent.
The words themselves become less "important" than the intention. If the
actor gets it, the audience gets it. Or, at least, remains invested in
the forward motion of a piece. That's why strong, specific (while still
open) direction enhances a Wellman piece immeasurably. But, of course, I
direct.
