I'm not really sure how this relates to what I wrote, but it is a terrible story, almost cliche to gay people, if it weren't so real.
I always wondered where Christians got off harassing gay people, since Christ never once mentions the issue of sexual persuasion at all. --and I don't think the way we understand such things would have made any sense to a first century Jew, anyway.
It is mentioned in a few places in the Old Testament, though not always for explicit condemnation. Phony Bible scholars point to the episode with Lot and his angelic guests --I'm sure they looked like Brendan Frazier-- but the issue was about the rape of guests, rather than homosexuality per se.
It does say in the Old Testament that "Thou shalt not lay with a man as with a woman", but of course Christians believe that THEIR faith supercedes all of that silly Jewish nonsense, anyway.
I've never been able to figure out why Christianns insist that God spoke to all time in every utterance. Surely, "Be fruitful and multiply" makes sense when there are two or even two million people living on the earth. But when there are nearly SIX BILLION? Jesus Christ, doesn't sex that doesn't end in procreation make a lot of sense?
But then, as Uncle Gore says, the wreck that the Judaeo-Christian nightmare has made of our lives is not to be believed.
