 If the people are really hungry, and one doesn't have time for paella and
gazpacho- or slow cooked chilli , - if the choice comes down to mac and
cheese (with steamed broccoli on the side) or nothing...

Just because we can't make our best dish- do we let the people starve??
Isn't theatre, at its root, about feeding people?

 And for all who cry Shakespeare, remember that Willie the Shake was
populist entertainment-- The A-Team, Dynasty,  AND  PBS special of his
day.....
