RAT Edge Fest mailing list, take 2



I sent a version of this earlier today, but I guess the listserv
software doesn't like it when I use certain words in the first few
lines.  Holy censorship.  So now I'm just stalling till the 7th line,
when the computer gets too lazy to care.  Skip to the bottom to cut to
the chase.

Well well well.

My earliest childhood memories-- I'm a year and a half.  My parents are
in Seattle, a city I wouldn't see for another two decades, (but it was
worth the wait.)  I'm staying with my aunt and uncle in New York.  I
wake up in the middle of the night crying.  I'm lonely, I guess.  I wake
my aunt and uncle and they tell me to go back to bed.  I reply that I
don't have to do what they tell me, because they're not my parents.

Which I've always thought was pretty savvy logic, for a toddler.

Anyway, I rememebr bellowing after that-- my uncle was quite a bit
bigger than me-- and he made me sleep that night in the basement, with
the terrifying guinea pigs.  And to this day, the smell of cedar chips
makes me --
