Karen,

I am officially confused. You say that you don't want this to be a
public issue, that you were hurt by my posting in a public forum, and yet
you have returned twice to the same public forum to make your case.

I would say that reading series are for getting playwrightsd work read,
and turninig on Artistic Directors to the work so that it can be produced.

Funny, I never read your play as Brechtian, because the catharsis happens
in the theatre, not in the the street.

 My mistakes are threefold:

 A) I was forced to cut a play from the first section of my series. The
play happened to be yours, and , because I am truly overworked, I forgot
to tell you.

B) I sent out a Press release without your play on it, having forgotten
that I forgot to tell you.

C) when you contacted me to ask what was up., I assumed that the query was
a personal one ( not on the RAT-List as it turned out to be) realized the
error of my ways, did an "OH SHIT!", and fired off a quick note to you
using my trusty SEND button, never bothering to check the return address
and assuming that we were commuincating privately.

For all of this, I was in the wrong and I am sorry. However, you have made
it clear that sorry is not good enough for you, which leaves me at a loss.
I can tell you that I would like to read your play later in the year, I can
even tell you that other playwrights work has been scheduled and shifted,
and I can tell you that I try to be very good with the people I want to
work with and in this case I simply dropped the ball. However, I
realize that none of this addresses your justifiable hurt or anger or
condones in any way my sequence of actions.

Outside of that I request that this topic be taken off the List and that
any further discussion on my errors in handling this situation be
shifted to a personasl, one-on-one forum.
