RAT Searching for Poetic Champions
Why? Because, as Van Morrison fans will doubtless remember, Poetic
Champions Compose.
Here's the deal: as the opener of my new Reading Series, UNDERGROUND
VOICES: FROM THE MARGINALIZED TO THE TRANSGRESSIVE, I am reading Shelley
Berc's A Girl's Guide to the Divine Comedy. This piece has a choir in it (
small 4 0r 5 person Hell Choir) there is even text for them to sing. I
even have singers. Alas, alack, and alay, there is no music. Since it's
the opening piece in a series, I would like for it to be extra special, and
have music.
Is anyone interested?
The only pay would be my undying (g)ratiude and the possibility that if
the plasy were to get a full production, the music MIGHT go with it... The
date of the reading is Nov. 1, I would need music by 24 september.... I
have no problem with online collaboration. If anyone is interested , you
can email me off-list- I have some ideas, just can't translate them into
music. The only thing I'm ruling out is Broadway-type numbers....
yr ob't sv't,
brad
