Subject: BCT: Show Opening!!!

The Foliage (not Foilage) Theatre Project presents
Love's Labour's Lost,
by William Shakespeare
Directed by Xander Yannis Stephano
Opens Saturday September 4th at 4:00 pm.
Runs Saturdays and Sundays at 4:00 through October 3rd.
Hancock Park, behind LACMA - Begin at the 6th and Ogden entrance.

BIG CHEAP THEATRE!!!!!

IT'S BIG!!!!! We move throughout the park, so we're using a BIG space.
Because there is nothing to naturally amplify our voices in this open
setting, right next to 6th Street, we shout our asses off, so we're using
BIG breath to create BIG volume (or BIG nodes on our BIG, swollen
larynces). It's a BIG cast - 16 BIG actors with BIG hearts, who like to
drink BIG beers after the show. Even a guest appearance by Pompey the
BIG. Er, Great. Pompey the GREAT. GREATER than GREAT. Pompey the
HUGE!!

>>>have you ever noticed, when you say a word over and over, it somehow
loses all meaning or sense of reality. What the hell is BIG anyway?

IT'S CHEAP!!!!! CHEAP??? Crimeny, it's FREE!!!!! How much CHEAPER can
you get? And parking is FREE to the first people who get to the north
side of 6th before it's all taken. And on Sunday, the south side is FREE
too! Show up and see FREE THEATRE.

That's right, it's also THEATRE! Shakespeare - what else says THEATRE
like the mention of that wacky cad? And this isn't your grandmother's
Shakespeare. If you know Xander, you know that this is faster, funnier,
wackier than the stilted, posturing, uppity, "I'm better than you because
I'm classically trained, you idiot making 8 figures a year doing a
popular sit-com" Shakespeare. These are classically trained idiots who
would gladly make 8 figures a year doing a popular sit-com. Or
infomercials. Or Baywatch. Whatever. Someone pay us, please. PLEASE!
In any case, plenty of sawing the air for everyone.

So come on down, see some art in the morning, have a picnic in the park,
bring your favorite alcoholic beverage, cleverly concealed in a brown
paper bag, so as not to alarm park security, and see the show.

Any questions? Feel free to ask 'em here. I'll get back to youse as
soon as possible.

thanks for your time
russell edge
