RAT Re: Stations Of Desire/conference

Dear attending rats,
Caridad Svich,  a playwright who is currently working with the Mark taper 
Forum Latino Theatre Initiative has sent me a new work titled "STATIONS OF 
DESIRE: SAINTS,SINNERS, AND IN BETWEEN" tHIS WORK IS AN ONLINE TEXT 
COLLABORATION which she conceived and developed with the Taper's support. It 
is a text in "ten movements and a coda" and is material written by the 
following playwrights; neena beber,cusi cram,jorge cortinas,heather 
dundas,julie hebert,julie jenson,ruth margraff,rachelle minkoff,anne garcia 
romero,kate snodgrass,caridad svich,candido tirado, and elizabeth wong.It's 
beautiful work. I'd like to do the world premiere reading of it, Thursday 
July 22nd at the rat conference at The Ivy Substation. The work is in short 
sections written by individual playwrights. A perfect piece to divide up and 
put together when we convene that night after the feast. Beautiful poetic 
material. caridad(who is leading a discussion that day as well) suggests in 
the script's notes that the text may be presented in individual movements or 
as a whole evening. I'd like to do both. I'd like people to tell me they are 
interested and I will dole out sections to you. Then we will put it all 
together on Thursady evening and do it( as a reading) script in hand is fine. 
Who is in?NO one piece is very long. they are each a few moments at most. 
Please let me know if you want to participate and I will e mail or fax you a 
saint,sinner or in between. Most require only one actor but some have more if 
interested. and you are free to do with it what you will.
