housing and transportation for LA RATConference

Some information on out-of-towners coming in for La RAT:

If you need housing and don't already have Ratfriends to arrange
accomodations with, send an email to frankiecohen@loop.com. Frankie is
matching up host RATs with visiting RATs and has already secured nests for
people around the country. Again, if you need housing, email her directly.

Also, she's working on a RAT discount car-rental rate with a number of
agencies (Enterprise being foremost), so if you want to rent a car, hold
off for a few days until she's got a discount rate nailed down. We'll
probably be able to save you some money. If you can't afford to rent a car
(or don't want to), we'll be providing information on public transportation
and setting up caravans to the various RAT locations. The biggest challenge
in L.A. is transportation and we're doing our best to be as helpful as
those New York RATS were (they were extremely helpful in building a subway
system in the early 1900's, and then following it up by distributing subway
maps at the RAT(festation) ).
