My response to the agenda was in context of whether it was about "alternative 
theater."  It seems clear to me from the response that that is not the 
intention.  That the nature and texture of this RAT thing is a bit more 
general.  I meant in no way to impugn the quality of the work done by any of 
the participants.  I am very impressed by the general level of work here in 
this town.  I'm not used to staying anywhere more than five years or so at a 
time, but L.A. is rich and varied enough to tempt me.  

The thing is, there actually are people who do theater with the junkies down 
on fifth and main - and there are those who consider that a joke with an 
automatic punchline.
That's cool.  I just want to know which one I'm dealing with.
