RATS?? do they eat OYSTERS??
Hey gang -
theater simple returnng from Charleston with a pocket full of sand and heads
full of stories. And bewailing the fact we will be missing the southern CA
sand, chili and raucous conversatons of the RATfest. (sniffle. Saskatoon -
here we come...)
In anticipation of our Canadian fringe tour, we are having a FUNdraising
Oyster BBQ.
Here's the deal: (forwarding the invite:)
+++++++++++++
Hello all!!!
Well, looky here - it's that time again! The annual edition of the OYSTER
BBQ is going to happen June 19, starting about 4pm.
(We had to move it back a few weeks as we have been out of town performing
in Charleston, SC... but more on that later.)
We have an order in for warm weather - cross your fingers!
The address - 109 N 58th Street, on Phinney Ridge, just north and slightly
west of the Woodland Park Zoo, Seattle
(Our phone number, just in case - 206/784-8647.)
The Deal: We supply oysters, beer, some (a little) lawn to wander about on,
and interesting convivial company.
YOU get to bring your lovely self(-ves), other grillables (augmenting those
'sters) a potluck-ish item or two to share, and whatever other potable you
want if beer isn't to your taste. (I'm also making iced tea and lemonade)
You can also invite a couple friends, just share the details of The Deal
with them- the more the merrier!
If you can drop a few CLAMS in our piggybank toward the next tour - we'd
really appreciate it. It's been an interesting year, and we have lots of
stories to tell you- not the least of which is about our current time in
Piccolo Spoleto, our upcoming short run in Seattle at Town Hall, and this
year's Canadian tour. (the show?? Dawson Nichol's ESCHER'S HANDS.) The
funds raised are going toward artist fees.
Let us know if you are thinking of coming to the BBQ, so we can make sure
we order enough oysters!
see you in THE BACK YARD!
