Road RAT Road

By the time the Rat Conference convoy leaves Coney Island he'll be nearly a
year old. Recent news says that he is attempting stand up now, so the
hope of hopes is that Chunior will take his first step in the moving
RatMobile. As evidenced in this photo, he's been bottle fed the RAT
philosophy since the cradle, so we all have great expectations. Lord, he
was born a rambling man.

Of course the roads of America have never fore experienced the humongous
RatMobile and accompanying convoy. Those of you who can't make the actual
Rat Conference should at least convoy part way there and feed its awesome
presence. Its digital journal and pix will be posted daily on a Web page
all the way through the Rat Conference.

As you know we are collecting 3 minute scripts from across our great
country to fuel this trek. The RatMobile will be speaking in tongues long
before entering the City of Angels. We'll be carrying the Ripe Rapture of
that theater never dared.

The lineup of Rat Celebrities bringing their star power into play in order
to sponsor this great enterprise is growing daily.

Jonny Pascoe phoned in from Austin where he has been working as a doorman
at some club. Some semi-famous country western star (I forget his name)
has recorded a song called "Johnny at the Door" about him. Jonny is
joining the convoy as a hitchhiker. Others joining the convoy that way
should be aware of the one and only Rule of the Road:

Gas, Grass, or Ass. Nobody rides for free.

Dennis "Rat Daddy" Moritz may be piloting his Vette. However, nothing's
confirmed, and he may need to travel incognito in his station wagon with
some of the young bloods out of Philly.

Rumor has AKA Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn with a ten-forty at the fair city of
New Haven sometime near launch time. Hope is they'll be able to join at
Coney.

Who else? You know who you are. You are the bubbling spring joining the
great river that pushes its course undeniably toward the ocean. You are
Main Street America, cornered like a rat and fervent to bust a move. You
get your kicks on Route Sixty Six.

You are travelling down manmade roads at godlike speeds. You know who you
are.
