Ok- folks, here's the Skinny on the Sarah Kane Situation..
Unfortunately, Skip/ Glen.. Tattered Cover has no more of Blasted/Phaedra's
Love. Heinemann Press is no longer carrying the book, so they're not
getting anymore , either... Neither Powells ( in Portland) nor Elliot
Bay Books ( in Seattle ) carries it either.
So, usual avenues thwarted, I take up Chris Mac's banner ( who are you,
Chris Mac, BTW?) of UK bookstores... Blasted and Phaedra's Love can be
found at http://www.alphabetstreet.infront.co.uk .
It is carried as a Methuen imprint over there-- all prices naturally in
pounds. The book runs 6.79 with a 2.50 S/H charge. Total= 9.29. Running
to my bloomberg up-to the minute currency exchanger- I am able to deduce
that . 625 of a British Pound = $1.00. Therefore, 1 British Pound should =
$1.60. So, 9.29 British pounds=$13.08. This book retails for $15.95 in the
Good ol' US of A. The only downside is that it will take fron 5-21 days to
arrive.
If you are just looking for Blasted , that was published with an
accompanying essay, in Theatre Magazine - Vol. 27 , Issue 1. Just go to:
http://www.yale.edu./drama/publications/theater/recentissues.html . Click
on the cover of Vol. 27 , Issue 1, and it will give you info on how to
order. It's a back issue- the price is $8.00 + S/H.
Have a good time.
Yours in gruntwork,
Brad Rithbart
