Rumor is that the FBI is monitoring the rat-list, so we'll contact you from
a safe phone.

I t seems that the Feds suspect an East Coast v. West Coast thing to kick
in again as the Rat Conference approaches.

It's a long story, but briefly here it is.

The East Coast clique was rumored to have put the hit out on Tupac, then
there was a retaliation and Suge Knight ordered the hit on the Notorious
B.I.G. Also the Rat Conference had kicked the Fringe's ass in NYC in '97
and there's still a lot of bad blood among some of the players. The NYC
Fringe clique is almost an empty shell now, but is still rumored to have
paid someone to instigate an internal spat in a new clique on the West
Coast called BCT.

This follows a long tradition of raucous debate over which coast is more
'real'. We know the answer here in Brooklyn, but we say Peace. Can't we
all just get along?
