For the best alternative to alternative theater, make sure you make time to
visit Coney when in town. The season doesn't officially open until
Memorial Day Weekend, but all of May the Sideshow will be performing
Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 12 PM.

Freaks, Wonders and Human Curiosities, the strange, odd, bizzarre and
macabre...Bring out the Sword Swallower-drag him out by the hair on his
head! Bring out the snake charmer- with her grrreat big python snake!
She`ll twitch it and twatch it while you all watch it! Bring out the
Bearded lady and the Illustrated man! Here comes the artist and our Fire
Eater-she`ll bathe her beautiful body in fire, she`ll drink down a cup of
gasoline and spit it out... WHOOSH they call her the Human Volcano! Its the
greatest Congress of oddities ever put before the American public!!! Step
right up to the ticket box, and Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! because its Showtime!!!!!

1208 Surf Avenue, at the corner of West 12th Street in Coney Island, Brooklyn,

If you tell us when you're headed there and we'll try to meet you and take
you back-backstage for an intro to the Legend herself and her many minions.
(Just don't utter her Unholy Name!)

Also not to be missed is Trav S. D.'s Theatre of Attractions.

Theatre as Drug * Drugs as Theatre * Theatre as Drug

This weekend the venue is in the Lower East Side at Surf Reality, 172 Allen
Street. Friday and Saturday at Midnight.

Trav describes it as '70's Blaxploitation meets '90's Rave. I bet he's
right. Hold on to your seats.

Special guest performance tonight by the infamous Naked Elvis. And
possibly tomorrow, depending on whether our poker game in Atlantic City
turns into anything worthwhile or not.
