Rob, I wholeheartedly agree. I never EVER suggested that involvment meant
'agendizing' or even that Theatre with a Point was necessarily a 'Bad'. My
position ( in general) is that theatre is (can be)a very powerful medium,
and we ought to at least consider using our 'power' to do something good
from time to time. If I am a manager of a theatre, I'm going to be very
clear and knowledgeable about what goes on in the neighborhood I'm in, not
just for good PR, but because I am directly affected by, and am an effect to
it.

Are you sure ? What's the real difference between one form of Dogma and
another ? What makes the rant of one madman different from another? (BTW-
I'm not calling Nick a madman) I've heard lies pour from the mouths of the
supposedly sane leaders of men, and the most beautiful truths flow from the
mouths of people who didn't even have any idea what they were saying. To
whom should we listen (or is that off the subjest entirely ? )

Okay- Homer is everyman. He is the modern version of the accidental hero.
Does this mean we should allow ourselves to grow fat and mediocre ? Or does
it just mean we should seek happiness where we can reach it ? Maybe it means
we should find an always forgiving, blue-haired mate and settle down and
make subversive theatre while our own children become criminals and
outcasts. ( By the Way, Lisa is MY hero...)
