See? I KNEW it would all come around to the art sooner or later! <winkwink>

On the more serious side, I'm not sure how this all once again got so
intensely personal or vindictive or anything, but the one comment I'll make
is this:

I didn't sign up on this list two years ago because I wanted to DELETE
mail... I actually thought it might be fun to READ mail. I thought that was
the point of the whole thing - was to open and read the stuff, not simply
say, "doh, there's another one by that pasta eatin' gal from Philly - Nuke
it!"

Perhaps my opinion is naive and innocent, but those are words I'll wear with
pride in this group - at any rate, I would hope that if you're on this list,
you at least open the mail and give it a quick scan before flushing down the
cyber septic system.... often when you open the mail, all you'll find is yet
another person ranting on another point of view that you've heard through
twenty other sources in your life during the course of the day....

Every once in a while, though, there are these beautiful words that each of
you say.... and everyone here has had those moments... they strike, and I'm
happy once again that I'm wading through all the other more personal
vindictive bullshit (ooops.. hope the FBI didn't take offense to my use of
that last word) that typically fills this space.

Some of us might not get out to LA this summer for various reasons, and so
this remains one of a very limited ways of keeping in touch with artists like
ourselves all over the country, and I'd hate to think it's gotten so passe
that people are simply being encouraged to throw away each other's thoughts,
words, ideas, etc without a second thought?

So, keep the musical numbers coming Aileen - sometimes I may stand and
applaud wildly, and other times I may just get lost in my program for a bit,
but I'll almost certainly never simply get up and walk out.
