Then what are they? Life is life and art is art. Life often sucks. And if
someone says they're doing art that infuses life with "healing, beauty
and wonderment", it's been my experience that that person is going to
show me art that infuses life with ONLY "healing, beauty and wonderment".
So I'll say no thanks. I'll take my art straight. I like it balanced out
with a healthy dose of black, scary truths. Just like life. Like it or
not.
